Projects
Quiz App
One of my first app projects I did was this quiz app where you can answer, create and mark questions. The application is built in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Pocket Pets
Remember Tamagotchis? This cozy gaming app invites you to a virtual world where you can take care of your virtual pets, play minigames to earn money or visit the pet shop to buy treats, clothes and toys. A joyful design with weather changes, seasons and music makes "Pocket Pets" a real gaming experience. I created this mobile first app with two collegues of my Web Development Bootcamp 2024. In our four week group project we mainly used React.js, next.js and styled-components. Also user stories, wireframes and the agile workflow helped us to bring our vision to life.
Calculator
Deployed on Vercel and built with JavaScript, HTML and CSS. The project goal was to create a calculator with all relevant functions, a modern design and animated elements. I used this project to play around with different animations, practice new CSS elements and built a more complex logic with JavaScript functions.
Event Website
As part of my final project at journalism school, I set up a website using Wordpress that drew attention to our event. The site was used to sell tickets, sign up for our newsletter and find all the important information about the event (e.g. speakers, ticket prices, venue, etc.). It also had to work on mobile devices since most of our traffic came from online marketing campaigns.
Wordpress Websites
I had always fun building websites and blogs with Wordpress or Squarespace. I either used them for private (e.g. a travel blog in 2014) or school purposes (e.g. an interior blog with affiliate marketing 2018). The designs and structure of the sites have varied depending on the project, but I have always valued aesthetics and logical navigation as well as user experience.
About Me
I have always been fascinated by websites and new technologies. But it was only through my master's degree in 2022 that I discovered my love for coding. Since then, the topic has stuck with me and I started teaching myself programming via Udemy, Bootcamps and YouTube. My dream? Working in Web3 and becoming a blockchain dev.
